Listing guidelines
What we publish, who it belongs to, and what to expect from review.
Who publishes here
Independent developers. Anyone with an account can create a creator profile and publish; you do not need an invitation, a company, or an audience.
Who a listing belongs to
Every listing belongs to exactly one creator profile: the person who published it. There are no team or organisation accounts, and a listing cannot be handed to someone else.
If several people built the app together, one of them publishes it and credits the rest in the listing description. That person holds the account, answers review decisions, and is the one who can edit, archive, or appeal. Choose them deliberately.
The same rule decides what happens when you close your account: listings cannot be transferred, so anything still published or in review has to be settled by you first. Your account settings list exactly what is outstanding.
Review
Listings are reviewed before they appear in the Value Market. A reviewer can publish it, ask for changes, or reject it, and every decision comes back with a reason.
What we do about a problem
There are four actions, and no others. Each one has a fixed effect and comes with a notice that names the reason. The list is short on purpose: an open-ended set of powers produces inconsistent enforcement and a record nobody can review.
- Correct
- You get a change request naming what has to change and by when. Depending on the problem, the listing stays public, is unlisted, or is suspended until you have answered it.
- Unlist
- The listing comes out of browse and search. A direct link still works, so anyone you have already given one to is unaffected.
- Suspend
- The listing page says it is suspended instead of showing the content, and the outbound link is switched off. The page does not pretend the listing never existed.
- Remove
- The listing is taken down and its page returns a permanent gone response. Reversible by appeal while the retention period below is still running.
All four change the Value Market’s enforcement standing only. Whether your listing is public or unlisted stays your choice, untouched, which is what makes reinstatement put things back the way you had them.
We do not edit your listing. If something has to change, you get a change request saying what and why, and you make the edit yourself.
Appealing a decision
Every rejection and every action above can be appealed, once. The notice you receive carries the deadline, and you have 14 days from the decision to file. That deadline is fixed when the decision is made: if we change this number later, it does not move a window that is already open, in either direction.
File from your dashboard, on the listing or submission the decision was about. Say what you think was wrong and attach anything that shows it. An admin reviews it, and the reviewer who made the original decision cannot be the one who resolves the appeal.
If the appeal succeeds, we restore the exact version that was public before the decision, not the newest thing you have written since. Anything you drafted in the meantime stays a draft, yours to submit when you want to.
A removed listing is kept, in full, for 90 days so an appeal has something to examine and something to restore. After that its content is deleted, and an appeal upheld later can only unblock you to publish again, not bring the old version back.
